<p>这是昨天science dailynews 的一篇文章，很有意思，说的是有个叫D&#8217;Espagnat的人认为现代科学所揭示的一些事物的现象只是给我们提供了认清事物本质的途径，而科学本身是无法揭示这些本质的。呵呵，好神奇，难道这就是西方的神学？</p>
<p>他举的一个例子是量子力学中粒子运动的不确定性。D&#8217;Espagnat认为只有通过艺术、诗歌等人类精神层面上的东西才能感知和解释这些本质。</p>
<p>挺有意思的，他的这个研究竟然还获得了一个叫&ldquo;Templeton prize&rdquo;的奖项，据说是为了推动科学与宗教的对话而设立的～</p>
<p>其实现代科学不能解释的东西多了去了，科学本身也不是达到至高境界不再向前发展了，所以现在不能解释未必将来也不能解释。开尔文当年还说当时的物理界只剩下两朵乌云了，谁知相对论和量子论开辟了20世纪物理学界的新天地。</p>
<p>把这些未知的X用人类的意识来解释，好像有点儿唯心的感觉啊～不过话说回来现在科学对人类大脑的研究还是很肤浅的。</p>
<p>如果真如D&#8217;Espagnat所说，那我觉得艺术、诗歌之类的这些人类的精神产物也是一种科学，只是表述的方式不同罢了。（本人好像彻头彻尾的唯物哈～）</p>
<p>呃。。。这种问题真的是非常困扰，好难说清。科学和宗教都是哲学？wooooow！好深奥！</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Inducing a Magnetic Monopole with Topological Surface States</p>
<p>abstract：</p>
<p>Existence of the magnetic monopole is compatible with the fundamental laws of nature;<br />however, this elusive particle has yet to be detected experimentally. We show theoretically that an<br />electric charge near a topological surface state induces an image magnetic monopole charge due<br />to the topological magneto-electric effect. The magnetic field generated by the image magnetic<br />monopole may be experimentally measured, and the inverse square law of the field dependence<br />can be determined quantitatively. We propose that this effect can be used to experimentally realize<br />a gas of quantum particles carrying fractional statistics, consisting of the bound states of the<br />electric charge and the image magnetic monopole charge.</p>
